1)A XINZHOU HYBRID consists of an ion doped (20000)inner and outer race,ceramic balls and a sacrificial vacuum compatible,moly disulfide compound retainer.
2)"Why do I need a hybrid bearing?"
If you cannot tolerate conventional hydro or fluor carbon lubricants your system will experience MICROWELDADHESION.
MICROWELD ADHESION occurs with weldign of microscopic peaks due to millions of pounds of pressure occurring at even a minimal load.This repetitious welding produces heat and rapid failure of the bearing.(P=F/A=I*10# inches)


3)Normally an incompressible fluid (oil) fills in the valleys keeping the peaks from touching.If your system cannot tolerate fluids,microweld adhesion will occur.
4)By using races with fewer valleys-due to a solid film lubricant,applied with an ion deposition process(true molecular adhesion)and incorporating silicon nitrate grade 5 CERAMIC BALLS(ceramics do not weld to steel)we can provide a superior product.
This same test run with a xinzhou Hybrid R-6 results in a cold bearing for over 5 minutes.Try it.
5)This theory can easily be demonstrated by spinning a dry bearign with an air supply and holding it in your hand until it becomes hot.Less than a minute for a 3/8*7/8R-6.
